In an effort to keep Friends of the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore Members scattered all over the country updated on things happening in and about the Park we bring you our new blog.
By its nature it will be an irregular communication.
When we have news concerning the Lakeshore, or the Friends relationship with the Lakeshore – you will receive it.
But the neat thing about a blog is the opportunity it offers for you to share your reactions to what the Friends are doing, or should consider doing, within the Park.
Of course you may share other things as well.
Things like what the Park means to you, a telling of your favorite activity within the Park, links we should add to this blog and our web site, a favorite photo.
Welcome to the Friends of the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore Blog!
I’m delighted that the Friends have begun this interactive blog, as well as taken on the task of publicizing some of the news and happenings in the park. The Friends of the Apostle Islands are an incredible organization and have done much in a short 4 years to support visitor activities and the stewardship of the natural, cultural, and recreational resources in the Apostle Islands. Thanks!

Hi…Good newsletter although it is difficult, for me at least, to navigate the comment section.
One way of getting the word out is to identify individual members in each marina with an email address then ask that person to send out communiques to all boat owners in that marina. I am working on this for Roy’s Point.
Also, I have volunteered to take workers out to island sites on our boat in the past and do so again for this commint season…I can accomodate ten people….thanks Lars
