The newly created committee of the Friends is seeking persons interested in preserving the natural beauty and environment of the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore.

The purpose of the committee is to work with the NPS on natural resource conservation issues. The committee will identify projects for funding or fundraising by the Friends; identify and follow through on issues that affect natural resource conservation in the park; increase awareness of
the park’s role in natural resource conservation; and recommend engaging in appropriate activism as approved by the Friends Board.
